I spent last weekend in the alternate universe called Marin County where every public and private high school has a MTB team. There has been high school MTB Racing in NorCal for the past 9 years, the brainchild of Matt Fritzinger. After Easton wrote a big check SoCal got its own league in 2009, and Colorado has a full season of High-School racing planned for 2010. The next step is the formation of NICA, a national organization dedicated to creating High School MTB leagues in all 50 states.
