Thursday’s bike ride. Two-hour drive to West Glacier, Montana. 140-mile loop through Glacier National Park. 7.5 hours of riding. 10,000 feet of climbing. Zero traffic lights. Breathtaking views around every bend. Damn.

A few bikes caught my eye at the finish line of last Saturday’s Rapha Gentlemen’s Race. First and foremost, fellow Freeman Troops ballbreaker Jason Sager who came in 1st overall on the day with a time of 7:15. Solo, no less, which is why I’ll include him in the photo.

For the longest time I’ve been meaning to visit my friend Devotion’s bike workshop with my camera. Finally, the time and weather permitted an afternoon of shooting and after 4 hours, I ended up with some stellar photos documenting his consultancy entitled Cicli Devotion.

His tag line is “Classic racing bicycles & components bought, sold and refurbished”. Kind of ambiguous right? Well, that’s his niche.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a renaissance man (or maybe just another cliche), but I like to cook, I’m not afraid to mop the floor when the need arises, and I unashamedly wear striped and polka dot socks, but I’m thinking that this bike has me beat in the arena of self-awareness. I was 50 hipsters deep last weekend trying to get my Wurstkuche on when the tight black jeans and ironic beards got the best of me.

Spotted this ace makeup of the Nike Hyperfuse on Saturday. Our buddy Kyle uses them for riding. I use my USA make up for the same. I thought I was the only one.
Super light. Low profile. Good air flow. Nike’s latest flagship hoop shoe really works well for our purposes. A pleasant surprise, really, to find an adaptable new sneaker. I think they are a new classic.
As you can see, they are nicely adaptable to color too. I think we need a Freeman green…
